Enyonam Aheto-Tsegah started practice with Kimathi and Partners. Her practice areas with Ashong Benjamin include finance, mining, oil and gas, corporate and commercial law. While at Ashong Benjamin she has participated in advice to clients in various matters including banking and finance, labour, energy, natural resources and corporate governance compliance.
She has conducted a number of due diligence exercises including due diligence on a Ghana bank for a proposed merger, a detailed securities review in support of the acquisition of another Ghana bank, and for a proposed rights issue of a Ghana bank.
She has also conducted due diligence into a Ghana mining company for an international mining company and provided Ghanaian law advice in respect of the acquisition of its parent company in Jersey; on a mining company for an international financial institution in respect of the financing of equipment to the mining company worth 100 million dollars; on a mining company under a scheme of arrangement in support of a proposed acquisition; on a shipping company in support of the proposed financing by an investment company for the purchase of a ship.
Enyonam’s experience in banking and finance includes being a member of a team that advised a syndicate of lending banks to provide a guarantee facility of USD 48 million, a member of a team that provided advice to a Ghanaian bank on a proposed cross-currency syndicated swap transaction with a significant statutory corporation and a member of a team that advised a Ghana bank on the feasibility of a proposed syndicated loan transaction regarding a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
Enyonam was on secondment to Aker Energy where she acted as legal advisor and was also seconded to Absa Bank Ghana Limited where she acted as a legal officer.
