Kweku Eyiah is a Partner and joined Ashong Benjamin in February 2019.
Having been in practice for the past 30 years, he provides invaluable support to the firm in supervising advice to clients, representing clients in litigation, and developing comprehensive litigation strategies in areas such as sale and purchase agreements, and share transfer agreements.
He has extensive experience in dispute resolution and acted as lead Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration in Sports, Switzerland (CAS) and the Ghana Arbitration Centre.
His depth of knowledge in corporate practice allowed him to play a key role in the merger and acquisition of Safetech and Secpoint into Secure Solutions International (SSI), and Group 4 Securicor and SSI into G4S Security Services Ltd.
Prior to joining Ashong Benjamin, Kweku worked at Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah (BELA) for six years, where he represented corporate clients in various industries; telecommunications, mining, and private security services. He then went into private practice where he established his own law firm, Legal Care, and worked for key clients like the Ghana Football Association and G4S Security Services Gh Ltd.
An avid football administrator with expert knowledge of sports law, he serves in multiple capacities at the Ghana Football Association (GFA). He has been the Leader of Delegation for various national football teams at major international football tournaments. Additionally, he acts as Vice Chairman of the Legal Committee, where he drafted the GFA’s Statutes and Regulations, and the Contracts & Code of Ethics for players and technical staff of the National Teams. He also renders advisory services in Government Relations to the Football Association.
